Recreation
Recreation is an important element of life at La Luz. A swimming pool, tennis courts, and hiking trails on protected mesa land, as well as nearby public biking and hiking trails on the bosque, offer opportunities for exercise and outdoor fun—as do a bocce ball court, playground area with swings and climbing structure, and community vegetable and flower gardens.
The community regularly hosts social events on the shared plazas and grassy areas—from cookouts to parades and concerts, regularly on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day, and on other occasions as well.
