Common Grounds Master Plan begins at South Berm
The 2015 Master Plan Project has begun. Earth on South Berm was moved and the area will soon be ready to be seeded this month. Work so far has consisted o,f earth moving, irrigation, and careful planning between Landscape Architect Rick Borkovetz, and tremendous work by General Manager Marc Hirschy and his crew. South Berm residents will be the first to benefit this massive effort by all involved. While it looks rough now, soon it will be a showcase of what is to come to the rest our community.
2016 continues to be transisitonal for La Luz
2015 indeed was a year of change, loss, and gains. On November 30, 2015, our General Manager Marc Hirschy retired after 23 years of amazing service to our community. Marc inherited a logistical nightmare when he was hired in 1992. Over the years his dedication and professional knowlege transformed the common grounds and the administrative side of the communuty to a level of excellence. In April, Marc's grounds assistant suddenly passed away leaving a void in the staffing and care for the common grounds. A team of volunteers gathered to begin the process of the transistion of the General Manager's duties and divided them into three different catagories. Sentry Management handles the HOA dues, and accounts receivables and payables. Admin Assistant Jonathan Abdalla was broght on board in mid April to over see Sentry's tasks, interface with the community and the needs of each committee and BOD. We also hired a new groundskeeper in October. Britt Quisenberry, brings years of expertise and knowledge to the last part of the transistion. We look forward to continue the CGMP and make strides moving forwardd in this time of change.
